Tournament Rules
Date: March 7-8, 2025
Location: 199 Glossip Ave., Highlandville, MO 65669
Entry Fee: $200 per team (due by 5 PM on 3/7/25)
$150 to the main pot
$50 to side pot
CHANCE TO WIN UP TO $1,500 IN PRIZES!
Teams: Up to 4 members (all must hunt together)
Weigh-In: 3 coyotes per team for the main pot
Payout: 80% main pot payout
Side Pot: Smallest coyote will win a prize package.
Youth Participation:
Youth under 16 do not count as team members
Youth may be on teams in addition to the 4 team members
Youth must be present at weigh-in to receive a youth-only raffle ticket with proof of participation
Youth Prize: Hand Calls and a Coyote Pelt
Hunting Regulations:
All state, local, and federal hunting laws must be followed
Only coyotes are eligible
No trapping, use of dogs, or roadkill allowed
Coyotes must be killed in Missouri
Hunting and Check-In:
Start Time: 6 PM on 3/7/25 at team's chosen location
Check-In Deadline: 5 PM on 3/8/25 at weigh-in location (no exceptions)
Weigh-in starts at 4 PM
Coyotes will be checked for foreign objects
Coyotes must be shot by a team member during tournament hours
Scoring & Tie-Breakers:
Main Pot:
One place paid for every five team entries (max of five places)
Tie-breaker: Heaviest coyote, then coin flip
Bag Limit: Three coyotes per team (teams must decide which to weigh in)
Validation Process:
Team leaders will receive a unique alphanumeric code via text at 6 PM on the day of the tournament
A flop test video is required for each coyote, recorded from the team leader's phone
The video must include:
All team members
Youth hunter (if applicable)
Team’s alphanumeric code
Date and time
Coyote in well-lit view
Submission Deadline: All flop tests must be submitted within one hour of harvest via text to 417-420-9515
Drop Test:
A team member must hold the coyote by its hind legs at head height and drop it headfirst onto a solid surface
Coyotes showing rigor mortis and failing the drop test may result in disqualification
Disqualification & Penalties:
Breaking any rules results in immediate disqualification
Disqualified teams forfeit entry fees and any winnings, including giveaways
Each person may only compete on one team
Tournament Payout Scale:
1-9 Teams: Winner takes the pot
10-14 Teams: 1st - 60%, 2nd - 40%
15-19 Teams: 1st - 55%, 2nd - 30%, 3rd - 15%
20-24 Teams: 1st - 40%, 2nd - 30%, 3rd - 20%, 4th - 10%
25+ Teams: 1st - 45%, 2nd - 25%, 3rd - 15%, 4th - 10%, 5th - 5%
